Discover Nature Hokuriku

When you arrive in Tokyo, you will be transferred to your hotel in Tokyo. Feel free to explore the metropolitan city for the rest of the day.

You will start your journey by riding the bullet train to Karuizawa, a highland full of exquisite nature and surrounded by beautiful mountains. Your guide will be awaiting your arrival at Karuizawa JR station.

In your comfortable walking shoes, join a nature watch tour in the pristine National Wild Bird Sanctuary Forest in Joshinetsu Kogen National Park for a leisure walk to observe seasonal nature. Thereafter, enjoy the laidback pace of the local lifestyle and the rich nature this town is famous for at the Harunire Terrace. Lastly, let’s do some local dessert shopping at Karuizawa Ginza.

A bullet train ride to Toyama, a coastal city yet surrounded by mountains and nature. Visit the Toyama Glass Art Museum featuring an original design by the world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma. En-route to the accommodation, drop by the Observation points, Tonami Plain dispersed settlements and Tonami Sankyoson Museum.

Wake up to nature and a fresh cup of coffee. Today, we will visit Nousaku - a Tin casting factory for an introduction and not forgetting to select a unique piece of art from the boutique to bring home, followed by paying a visit to the interesting Wakatsuru Saburomaru Distillery for a whisky tour and sake tasting.

Bid farewell to Toyama after lunch, we will proceed to explore the Noto Peninsula. Experience a traditional Japanese inn stay (Ryokan), soak in onsen and enjoy a kaiseki dinner with local cultural show.

Today, visit Wajima Morning Market and Hakutou Sake Brewery with a chef from a restaurant serving fusion cuisine. Lunch will be prepared with the ingredient purchased at the morning market.

Visit Taya Shikkiten and enjoy the famous Wajima lacquerware shopping experience. Lunch will be served at L’Atelier de NOTO.

Immerse yourself in rural Japan with a traditional farmhouse stay — Forest.

Many seasonal experiences are available at Forest, including foraging for wild vegetables and mushrooms, harvesting and planting rice, hiking in the mountains with the local farmers, and fishing in mountain streams.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast prepared by the locals with fresh ingredients from the area, bid farewell to the host and proceed to Kanazawa - known for well-preserved Edo-era districts, art museums and regional handicrafts, via the Chirihama Nagisa Driveway - a coastal drive.

Take a stroll in Kenrokuen Garden, one of Japan’s three most beautiful gardens. It features a variety of flowering trees, which gives the garden a different look each season.

Kaiseki dinner with Geiko performance and entertainment at Kinjohro to follow.

Explore the Higashi Chaya District - the largest of Kanazawa’s three historic entertainment, or “teahouse” districts. The district’s traditional wooden buildings and lattice-work windows retain the atmosphere of their 200-year history. Visit Gold Leaf Sakuda and meet the gold leaf craftsmen to learn about the traditional process that has been passed down for hundreds of years. Proceed to Osaka by bullet train and you are free to explore the vibrant city.
